Renogy Voyager 20A PWM Waterproof Solar Charge Controller

The Renogy Voyager 20A is a PWM solar charge controller for small off-grid setups. It is rated for 20 amps of charge current with automatic 12-volt and 24-volt system recognition and a maximum PV input voltage of 26 volts.

It charges Sealed, AGM, Gel, and Flooded lead-acid batteries plus lithium batteries, using smart 4-stage PWM charging: bulk, absorption, float, and equalization. Built-in protections cover reverse polarity, overcharge, short-circuit, reverse current, overload, and over-discharge. A backlit LCD shows charging current, battery voltage, temperature, and error codes.

The enclosure is rated IP67, and the controller weighs 0.55 pounds at 6.08 by 3.84 inches. It accepts wire up to 10 AWG.

E-bike camp note: this is the part that turns a bare solar panel and a 12-volt battery into a proper off-grid camp setup. Trailer builders and DIY solar rigs use exactly this component to manage panel-to-battery charging.
